Solar Power House – How to Live Off Grid

Hi, just ran across your blog and it’s great. Hey… do you have any articles on using a wind turbine to ‘go off grid’ ?
I’m researching it and it seems the utility companies are doing every thing they can to retard the idea of selling the power YOU generate back to the grid.
They seem to be enlisting the support of local officials to prevent licenses from being granted for power other than what they make money on… the switching apparatus that ties power YOU generate back into the grid is so costly and the local governments are at best not helping and at worst in kahoots with the utility company (probably via campaign contributions to county officials and delegates)
Got any articles on or info on or annectdotes of people getting ’static’ re: selling power back to the grid?
Your post here gives me ideas for selling the wind turbine I’m promoting… screw the grid, make your own power.
I’m pitching small wind turbines to trailer park owners in West Virginia so they can sell the power they generate to their tenants- all that money is now going out the door to the utility company
Thank you very much for given article on this great topic…….
